Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a low Earth orbit satellite network to provide broadband access to underserved areas. The Solutions Architect will engage with operators, broadcasters, and infrastructure teams to shape features, design end-to-end architectures, and drive carrier-grade networking across fiber, wireless, and satellite.

This role also focuses on edge compute, hybrid cloud networking, and scalable, secure overlays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 6+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the voice of the customer—engage directly with mobile network operators, broadcasters, tower companies, infrastructure teams, maritime/aviation providers, and rural broadband deployments to influence the roadmap of new features and service capabilities.
• Incubate and launch new solutions—design end-to-end architectures, lead technical discovery sessions, develop reference solutions, and support proofs of concept across LEO satellite and hybrid networks.
• Translate customer requirements into product direction—understand technical requirements and guide evolution of offerings with focus on carrier-grade networking, WAN, routing, QoS, and hybrid connectivity across fiber, wireless, and satellite.
• Solve blockers creatively—develop new product offerings bridging physical constraints with scalable IP and cloud-integrated architectures.
• Earn trust through transparency—build long-term partnerships with customers showing expertise in satellite communications, 4G/5G, transport networks, backhaul, private wireless, and edge infrastructure.
• Develop and share technical content—create best practices, reference architectures, white papers, code samples, and blog posts.
