BRMi in Vienna, VA is seeking a senior, technically minded professional to shape the technical direction and long-term health of our Digital Banking platform. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, solution architecture, security, and platform modernization, partnering with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Product teams to evaluate solutions and reduce technical debt.

Candidates should have a strong software engineering foundation, deep Java knowledge, and experience

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or architecture.
• Strong Java experience with enterprise applications.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and enterprise integrations.
• Understanding of modern architecture, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and guide modern enterprise application architecture.
• Read, understand, analyze, and troubleshoot source code.
• Identify technical debt and opportunities for modernization across complex environments.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Product teams to reduce risk and improve scalability.
