Cogent is redefining how AI-driven security works. We seek a Solutions Engineer to anchor our post-sales motion, designing vulnerability management solutions and translating customer environments into concrete implementation plans.

You’ll collaborate with security engineers, TAMs, and deployment teams to drive successful live deployments at enterprise scale. This founding role requires deep vulnerability management expertise, a track record with Fortune 500‑level customers, and comfort operating

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience, including deep domain expertise in vulnerability management or a closely adjacent security discipline.
• Experience at an early-stage company – built processes from scratch in ambiguous environments.
• Track record with enterprise-scale customers and executive security stakeholders.
• Management experience, including hiring and building a team.
• Familiarity with APIs – comfortable with API keys and data validation, not writing PRs.
• Excellent communication skills translating between customer security teams and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Scope & Design Solutions – work with customer security teams to understand environment and design Cogent deployment.
• Bridge Technical & Product – write actionable tickets to hand off design to engineering.
• Own the Technical Relationship – act as the technical counterpart to TAM and engage stakeholders up to CISO level.
• Deploy at Enterprise Scale – coordinate with deployment teams across dozens of customer stakeholders.
• Scale our Forward Deployed Motion – create repeatable scoping/design practices to minimize dedicated FDE effort.
• Shape What Good Looks Like – help define the Solutions Architect role as Cogent scales post-sales.
