Job summary

Request Technology, LLC is seeking a Solutions Architect to build the next generation clearing systems for capital markets in Chicago. You will design architectures across distributed platforms, implement event-driven and microservices patterns, and guide data architecture and integration strategies from ideation through implementation.

Lead architecting efforts using Kafka, Protobuf, and IaC with Terraform, while collaborating with engineers to enforce standards and deliver high-throughput,

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency data systems.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka and streaming architectures.
• Proficient in OO design, patterns, and microservices.
• Experience with OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and identity providers.
• Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design the applications’ architecture across distributed platforms using event-driven patterns.
• Define and enforce architectural standards across teams.
• Design streaming and batch data flows for real-time and scheduled processing.
• Shape message-based systems with Kafka for decoupled communication.
• Develop data architecture and integration strategies across systems.
• Own end-to-end solution architecture from ideation to implementation.
