Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant field.
• 15+ years of professional experience in data analysis, assessment and/or reporting.
• Experience designing, integrating, modernizing, or sustaining data-driven applications and platforms.
• Experience developing data integration solutions and enterprise data pipelines.
• Experience with SQL on Redshift, Oracle, or PostgreSQL; proficient Python/Java development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of complex data-driven applications, systems, and reporting platforms
• Provide solutions architecture expertise to align technical solutions with mission objectives and priorities
• Coordinate daily development activities, priorities, schedules, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
• Design scalable, secure architecture for application and data environments
• Develop and optimize data integration solutions and enterprise pipelines
• Architect and support data lakes, data fabrics, and analytics-ready environments
• Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL solutions across Redshift, Oracle, PostgreSQL
• Use Python, Java to develop, enhance, automate system capabilities
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and data quality

AVER is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to provide solutions architecture and technical leadership to design, integrate, optimize, deploy, and sustain complex data-driven applications and platforms while ensuring development activities, system performance, data quality, and delivery priorities align with mission objectives. Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of complex data-driven applications, systems, and reporting platforms
• Provide solutions architecture expertise to align technical solutions with mission objectives, operational requirements, and strategic priorities
• Coordinate daily development activities, including priorities, assignments, schedules, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
• Design and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable architecture for application and data environments
• Develop and optimize data integration solutions, including ETL/ELT processes, automated workflows, and enterprise data pipelines
• Architect and support data lakes, data fabrics, and related technologies to enable efficient data access and analytics
• Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL solutions using Redshift, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and similar platforms
• Use Python, Java, and similar programming languages to develop, enhance, and automate system capabilities
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure supporting applications, databases, reporting tools, and mission systems
• Integrate databases, data lakes, dashboards, and reporting environments to ensure reliable data availability
• Monitor and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability through tuning and optimization
• Implement data quality controls to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of enterprise data
• Support software testing, system validation, deployment, and release activities to ensure successful solution implementation
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, data engineers, and program teams to define technical requirements and solution approaches
• Identify and resolve system, application, data, and integration issues to minimize disruptions and improve the user experience
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture designs, deployment procedures, and system support materials
• Provide technical leadership for modernization initiatives, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement efforts
• Communicate project status, technical risks, dependencies, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure systems operate efficiently, accurately, securely, and reliably across mission, reporting, and operational environments
• Support the modernization, enhancement, and sustainment of enterprise applications, data platforms, and reporting capabilities

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant technical field

Experience Requirements:

• 15+ years of professional work experience within data analysis, assessment and/or reporting
• Experience designing, integrating, modernizing, or sustaining data-driven applications, systems, or reporting platforms
• Experience developing data integration solutions, including ETL/ELT processes, automated workflows, or enterprise data pipelines
• Experience developing and optimizing SQL solutions using platforms such as Redshift, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
• Experience using Python, Java, or similar programming languages to develop, enhance, or automate system capabilities
• Experience configuring, maintaining, or troubleshooting infrastructure supporting applications, databases, reporting tools, or mission systems
• Experience independently leading high-visibility, mission-critical technical projects from solution design through deployment and sustainment

Desired Requirements:

• Ability to comprehend advanced technical concepts
• Experience supporting the Federal Government, such as the Department of Homeland Security, is preferred
