Job summary

LMI is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead USAF data solutions in a role centered in Colorado Springs, CO or Dayton, OH, with remote options for travel-ready candidates. You will guide a team of data engineers, software architects, developers, and Logistics SMEs to design, develop, deploy, and oversee ISO-enabled data products.

Required are 15+ years in STEM with a TS/SCI clearance, strong cloud, DevSecOps, and modeling expertise, plus accountability for enterprise data optimization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 15+ years of experience or master’s with 13+ years of experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Extensive experience with data architectures and modeling & simulation for optimization of complex supply chains.
• Proven experience with Python and Java in agile environments.
• Strong proficiency with AWS and/or Azure; hands-on with IaC, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; US Citizenship required.

Overview

LMI is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead initiatives within our growing US Air Force (USAF) technology portfolio. Location preference is Colorado Springs, CO or Dayton, OH, but remote personnel that are willing to travel will be considered. In this role, you will lead multiple business initiatives related to enterprise data solutions for the USAF. You will lead a team of technologists including data engineers, software architects, developers, and Logistics SMEs to develop next generation data products. You will be responsible for architecting, developing, deploying, and overseeing solutions that enable the USAF integrated sustainment optimization (ISO). This position requires expertise in modeling and simulation, AWS, Azure, DevSecOps, and cloud-native tools, as well as a passion for innovation to support USAF mission objectives. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance. US Citizenship required.

• Collaborate with engineers and other AF SMEs to ensure best-in-class feature development and data management supporting:
  • Supply chain risk management
  • Repair network optimization
  • Asset visibility
  • Inventory optimization

Qualifications

Required Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 15+ years of professional development experience or master’s degree in a STEM field with 13+ years of professional development experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Extensive experience with data architectures and modeling and simulation analysis for optimization of complex supply chain networks
• Proven experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) within agile development frameworks.
• Strong proficiency with AWS and/or Azure cloud services, with hands-on experience in cloud deployment, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), Docker/containerization, and elastic cloud orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices for secure, scalable software deployments.
• Active U.S. Government TS/SCI. US Citizenship required.

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

• Experience in the Air Force and/or Space domains and with simulation and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with large-scale data management in cloud environments.
• Java, Python (10+ years).
• Experience with agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.

Target salary range: $170,000 - $220,000
