Team Overview

Our Sales team serves the critical role of getting our products into the hands of our customers. This talented team works hard to build and maintain relationships with our clients, as well as looks for new business opportunities to expand our reach.

Responsibilities
Description

The Solution Sales team oversees the selling of various product lines to K-12 school districts. Team members have a deep knowledge of our products and sales best practices, with a focus on growing revenue.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

  • Working with both new and existing customers to promote PowerSchool's student products and services, with an emphasis on establishing new business and expanding current relationships.
  • Becoming well-versed in a subset of PowerSchool's products and services, beyond basic features and benefits.
  • Engaging with district officials, administrators, teachers, and staff – top down and bottoms up.
  • Finding, progressing, and closing new logo and cross-sell business.
  • Driving discovery, objection handling, deal strategy, deal close planning, and deal timeline management.
  • Building and maintaining a robust pipeline with accurate forecast practices.
  • Developing tailored proposals with executive summaries and negotiating complex, multi-year contracts.
  • Meeting or exceeding revenue goals and activity metrics.
  • Maintaining a home office, being self-directed, and focused on achieving sales booking and revenue targets.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or comparable work experience.
  • A proven track record of meeting quarterly/annual quota targets (minimum $1 million annual target).
  • Experience managing long, complex sales cycles (9+ months) and coordinating across various groups (Sales, Solution Engineers, Marketing, Engineering, Executives) for flawless sales execution across multiple buying personas.
  • Experience selling K-12 or EdTech software solutions is preferred.
  • Ability to forecast sales accurately on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
  • Excellent presentation and product demonstration skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong executive presence with experience engaging C-suite clients.
