Job summary

Planned Systems International (PSI) seeks a Senior Solution Architect to lead system design for the VA's Compensation & Pension Product Line within a SAFe environment. You will guide cloud-based development, develop architecture blueprints, and collaborate with VA stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

The role emphasizes documentation, strategic planning, and cross-team coordination, with strong written and verbal communication required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5–10 years IT project management experience.
• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and VA cloud environments.
• Strong SAFe practices.
• Experience with enterprise architecture tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed system design activities including system, data, process, and interface specifications.
• Translate requirements into architectural blueprints that align with VA enterprise standards.
• Guide cloud-based development efforts and provide technical oversight of cloud projects.
• Apply SAFe methodologies in design, planning, and execution.
• Provide architecture and release planning support in collaboration with VA Product Managers.
• Maintain architecture documentation in VA-approved repositories.
• Coordinate with VA stakeholders to realign priorities and adjust delivery timelines as needed.
• Draft and maintain high-quality documentation and deliverables.
• Support product management activities, including feature prioritization and backlog grooming.
