Job summary

BCBSLA seeks a Lead Solution Architect to drive architecture blueprints for business and IT projects, balancing enterprise needs with functional requirements to improve efficiency and reduce technical debt.

You will lead architecture standards, roadmaps, and collaboration across departments, with expertise in Azure/AWS, data, integration, security, and healthcare systems.

Strong leadership, communication, and the ability to translate complex problems into actionable designs are essential.

Qualifications

• Education Bachelor's or other technical program including mathematics, applied physics and/ or Business Administration required.
• Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of technical leadership and hands-on technology implementation experience in software development, DevSecOps, systems architecture or data engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of Solution Architecture practice and software development standards.
• Experience in at least five of the listed domains (e.g., Business Architecture, Data Architecture, Integration Architecture, Azure/AWS, DevSecOps).

Responsibilities

• Leads the solution architecture process.
• Develops and publishes the Solution Blueprint document.
• Leads enterprise application architecture & software development standards and frameworks.
• Leads enterprise architecture roadmaps and lifecycle management plans.
• Creates and presents improvement opportunities to the solution architecture practice.
