Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to design scalable architectures for our information technology systems in Columbus, IN. You will define components, interfaces, and reference architectures to promote standardization and reuse across regions.

You will partner with stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-value solutions and evaluate new technologies through pilots, while advising on capacity and long-term strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of total professional experience in software development, application engineering, or related technical roles.
• Prior hands-on experience as a Software Developer and/or Technical Lead is required.
• Complex Application Solution Design utilizing technologies like Java/Angular/Kubernetes/.Net/PhP is needed.
• Architecture development framework and methodology to design systems landscape and interactions within enterprise, utilizing Mulesoft, Azure APIM, Azure Data Factory, etc.
• Demonstrated architecture and design experience, strong knowledge of modern architectural patterns, cloud platforms and integration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, reliable system architectures by defining component structures, allocating functionality, and establishing interfaces between systems and applications.
• Create and maintain global reference architectures that promote consistency, standardization, and reusable technology building blocks across teams and regions.
• Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, customers, and technical teams to deliver innovative solutions that maximize business value and user adoption.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, software trends, and tools while leading pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Assess infrastructure capacity and future technology needs while providing strategic recommendations that support growth and long-term objectives.
