Job summary

System One is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to design and guide cloud-native, enterprise-scale solutions for major clients. You will collaborate across engineering teams and executives to set roadmaps and govern architecture across the SDLC.

The role emphasizes hands-on in Java, Python, and multiple cloud platforms, plus microservices, event-driven design, and AI-enabled modernization. You will mentor teams and help drive cloud migration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise app development.
• Proven success leading architecture decisions across multiple projects in complex environments.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale, cloud-native apps using Java, Python and AWS/Azure/GCP (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
• Knowledge of SQL/databases, data modeling, and AI-related technologies.
• Understanding of TOGAF or similar enterprise frameworks; cloud migration/ modernization is highly desirable.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to lead distributed technical teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise application development.
• Proven success leading architecture decisions across multiple projects supporting complex business environments.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale, cloud-native applications using technologies such as Java, Python, AWS, Azure, and GCP (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, enterprise integration patterns, API-first design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
• Knowledge of data technologies including SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
• Understanding of AI and emerging technologies like Generative AI, AI-assisted development, and automation.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar) and cloud migration/modernization initiatives (highly desirable).
• Excellent collaboration skills, ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, and ability to lead technical teams in a distributed environment.
