SunnyMac Solar is seeking an experienced Solar Service Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve residential PV system issues with precision the first time.

With 3+ years in solar installation or service, you will read plans, interpret NEC requirements, and communicate clearly with homeowners while upholding safety and quality workmanship. Join a growing team dedicated to environmental stewardship and top-notch customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
• 3+ years of solar installation or service experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working on energized systems.
• Solid understanding of NEC requirements.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair residential PV systems
• Diagnose inverter faults (Enphase, SolarEdge, string systems)
• Perform inverter replacements, MPU upgrades, breaker replacements, and surge protection installs
• Identify root causes of system underperformance — not just symptoms
• Read and interpret plan sets and as-built drawings
• Complete service documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Communicate professionally and clearly with homeowners
• Maintain NEC-compliant, clean, and safe work environments
• Minimize revisit rates through proper diagnostics and quality workmanship
• Work efficiently to reduce drive time and maximize billable time
