Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician in Gainestown, AL. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems, following safety protocols and using CMMS for records.

You will inspect AC/DC systems, support commissioning, and troubleshoot with SCADA. This role requires field independence and dedication to site safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certifications or industry training preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M; varies by position level.
• Competency in industrial or utility power operations, troubleshooting, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs on AC and DC systems, including inverters, PV modules, transformers, switchgear, and high-voltage components.
• Monitor plant operations through SCADA and contribute to commissioning, testing, and system modifications.
• Follow strict safety protocols, including JHA and LOTO, ensuring compliance with site procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance as required.
• Work with remote operators to identify and resolve site issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS software.
• Provide guidance to other technicians as appropriate to experience level.
• Execute installation tasks with proficiency in torquing, calibration, and specialized tools.
