Overview
We are seeking a Senior Solar Design Engineer to join our growing Multifamily team and help shape the future of sustainable energy. Reporting to the Director of Sales - Multifamily, this role is crucial for the success of our solar projects, ensuring designs are technically sound, code-compliant, and aligned with client goals.
Key Details
- This is a remote role based in California, with occasional travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in solar energy system design, project management, and mechanical integration for multifamily or commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and integration of Solar Thermal, Photovoltaic, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, engineers, and contractors for cohesive project execution.
- Conduct technical assessments and resolve engineering challenges.
- Oversee CAD modeling and system layout development.
- Ensure compliance with permitting, building codes, and quality standards.
- Support manufacturing processes and system implementation strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

Physical Requirements
