Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Triage Engineer for its autonomous driving hardware and software team in the United States. You will deeply understand AV architectures, perform live triage, and automate triage workflows to accelerate issue resolution.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Model/SW Devs, In-car testing and Fleet teams; you will develop product performance metrics, define triage targets, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• 8+ proven experience on ADAS/AD vehicle test, digital offline test or triage data analysis.
• Technical in nature and able to zoom in/out from lowest detail to high level vision.
• Prior experience in Vehicle/System Integration, SW components debug, AD vehicle testing at large scale.
• Prior experience trouble-shooting and triage workflows including Replay and Simulation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to report top issues.
• Problem solver and Buck stops with you.

• Identify root causes, address problems, and drive them to closure.

We're looking for a Senior Software Triage Engineer with strong technical ability to deeply understand architectures and strong scripting experience to automate and Triage methodology, and the leadership to encourage our engineering team. As a key member of our automotive group, you'll be working on the real time challenges outstanding to the automotive industry and our automotive products. This is a key role to support AV software agile iteration & development for the release of clients, together working with the engineering teams, understanding the AV stack deeply and providing data-based judgement and delivering high-quality AV software to end customer.

What you'll be doing:

• Work with Product, Engineering, Model/SW Devs, In-car testing, Fleet teams on test request and triage planning, do live triage with accurate analysis and debugging steps, present top issues by end of day.
• Deep understanding on AD product definition and system specification, develop and maintain product performance with Top N based on triage analysis of in-car test and digital test.
• Work with collaborator teams to define test/triage target, requirements and process, supervise and improve triage efficiency and quality by steps.
• Automate product critical metric generation and robust evaluation to represent on the dashboard, provide triage target vision to support critical metric teams to understand the current state of our product/software and make priorities.
• Root cause and address the problems and drive them closure.

What we need to see:

• Bachelors or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• 8+ proven experience on ADAS/AD vehicle test, digital offline test or triage data analysis
• Technical in nature and be able to zoom in and out of scope as needed from the lowest detail to high level vision of the job
• Prior experience in Vehicle/System Integration, SW components debug, AD vehicle testing at large scale
• Prior experience trouble-shooting and triage workflows including Replay and Simulation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to report top issues
• Problem solver and "Buck stops with you"

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 253,000 USD.
