About The Team

The Billing team at GEICO manages tools, infrastructure, data, reporting, analytics, and services essential for seamless billing experiences for internal users, customers, and partners. Our platform is the backbone for financial transactions and customer interactions, supporting efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

What You Will Do

We seek a skilled Senior Software Test Engineer with automation, functional, and performance testing expertise, and experience in framework design. Your role will focus on ensuring application quality by designing automation frameworks, executing test strategies, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
2. Develop and execute functional, regression, end-to-end, and performance test cases.
3. Implement and improve automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
4. Conduct performance testing with tools like K6 and LoadRunner to identify bottlenecks.
5. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
6. Ensure comprehensive test coverage, traceability, and maintain documentation.
7. Identify, track, and report defects with detailed analysis and recommendations.
8. Optimize existing QA processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

Who You Are

We are looking for candidates who meet the minimum requirements listed below. Preferred qualifications are a bonus but not mandatory.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software test engineering, including automation, functional, and performance testing.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Typescript, Playwright, or TestNG.
• Experience designing and implementing custom automation frameworks.
• Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or k6.
• API testing experience with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or GraphQL.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SQL or Postgres queries.
• Experience with test management tools like Azure or Jira.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial domain, especially billing, payments, subscription management, and reporting.
• Exposure to security testing methodologies.
• ISTQB or relevant certification is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in CS or equivalent experience.
