Job Description

GITI is seeking a Software Test Engineer with expertise in automated testing to ensure software quality and operational requirements. Responsibilities include creating test processes, implementing test plans, identifying issues, and collaborating with developers and analysts. The role requires independent work and participation in project reviews to detect bugs and prepare defect reports. The candidate should have a proactive approach to knowledge sharing and quality delivery.

Responsibilities

1. Support RDT&E for software applications, translating operational requirements into testing artifacts.
2. Develop test strategies, plans, cases, and reports.
3. Utilize CASE tools, automation tools, and infrastructure as code.
4. Manage defect tracking systems like JIRA.
5. Conduct testing within Agile frameworks, including debugging and system integration testing.
6. Maintain and execute test scripts and automation scripts.
7. Perform regression testing and bug analysis.
8. Review and evaluate cyber capabilities, prioritizing bug fixes.
9. Communicate effectively to deliver quality products and mitigate risks.
10. Research and apply new testing tools and techniques.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years experience with CNO tools.
• Experience as a Software Test Engineer and developing test criteria.
• Proficiency in testing with Java, C, C++, Python, Bash.
• Knowledge of testing tools like Selenium, Appium, Perfecto.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Gitlab).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Linux and Windows OS.
• Understanding of networks, cybersecurity, and virtual environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Automated test script development from scratch.
• Web technologies and application testing experience.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and agile SDLC.
• Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, CSQE.
