Job summary

VTG Defense in Fort Meade, Maryland, is seeking a Senior Software Test Development Engineer with strong C++ expertise to support a mission-focused customer across design, integration, and testing of RF processing systems.

The role includes developing automated tests, building CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and collaborating with systems and hardware engineers. Eligible US citizens with TS/SCI and poly are preferred; sign-on bonus up to $10,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Experience as a Software Test Development Engineer.
• Strong C++ software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design, develop, modify, test, and maintain software systems using C++.
• Use Python and Shell scripting to support software development, testing, and automation activities.
• Debug existing software, identify root causes, and correct defects.
• Develop and maintain scalable, highly available mission systems.
• Create and maintain Docker containers, Kubernetes pods, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop and execute test procedures for software components.
• Design and develop automated software tests to support continuous testing.
• Support software testing within environments that include software-defined radios, servers, and other test infrastructure.
