Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts. This role will play a critical part in ensuring software quality by integrating automated testing into the development lifecycle and improving overall system reliability and performance.

Ideal candidates have TS/SCI with poly, a BS in Computer Science or related field, and 5+ years of automation-focused software testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing experience with a focus on automation.
• Strong experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs with Postman or RestAssured.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and SDLC/Agile methodologies.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and backend systems
• Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues through resolution
• Maintain test data and environments for consistent and repeatable testing
• Continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and automation processes
• Support manual testing efforts when needed
