We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Software Test Engineer with strong UI testingexpertisewithbackend debuggingskillstoensure quality and compliance during the modernization of a critical government information system. The idealcandidate will have extensive experience in functional and regression testing Java-based web applications, with a focus on user interface validation, accessibility compliance, and cross-browser compatibility testing.Thecandidate should be capable of performing backend troubleshooting—including application log analysis, API validation, and database queries—to isolate defects and provide developers with actionable diagnosticinformation.
You will develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for system upgrades, including Apache Tomcat application servers, Oracle 19c database integrations,Solrcluster interactions,and SAP Business Intelligence reporting interfaces.Strong experience withfront end testing with backenddebuggingskill,Application API testing,and defect tracking systems is essential.You willvalidatethat all system components meet federal cybersecurity requirements and government accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG) while ensuring a seamless user experience across the modernized platform.
Experience testing enterprise applications in Windows Server environments,UI automation frameworks,and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) for automated test execution is highly valued. This role requires excellent analytical skills, meticulous documentation practices, and the ability to collaborate with developers, business analysts, and security teams in a regulated environment.
