Lansing, Michigan is the base for a Senior Software Test Analyst contract role at FastTek Global. The contractor will drive test strategy, design and execute tests, and ensure quality across functional, integration, and UAT layers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed.
• 7+ years of IT quality assurance, software testing, or systems analysis.
• 5+ years hands-on test case development and execution.
• 5+ years identifying, documenting, and tracking defects.
• 5+ years with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Review requirements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and quality risks.
• Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to validate fixes.
• Create and maintain automated regression test banks and code coverage.
• Provide metrics and quality reports against requirements.
• Perform data validation with SQL queries as needed.
• Test system integrations, APIs, and application workflows.
• Conduct regression testing after changes and releases.
• Support deployment and production validation activities.
• Maintain testing documentation and defect tracking records.
• Provide regular status updates on testing progress, risks, and issues.
• Participate in meetings, reviews, and release planning.
• Suggest process improvements for testing efficiency.
