Job summary

Akaasa Technologies in Lansing, MI is seeking an experienced Software Test Analyst 5 Contractor to support software testing and quality assurance efforts for government and enterprise applications. You will develop test plans, execute test cases, and coordinate with IT, development, and business stakeholders to ensure changes meet requirements.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of IT QA and defect management experience, strong analytical skills, and hands-on testing with Jira/Azure

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in IT quality assurance and software testing.
5+ years of hands-on experience developing and executing test cases.
5+ years of experience identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
5+ years of experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on requirements.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
Review requirements, identify gaps, and document quality risks.
Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to validate fixes.
Create automated regression test banks and ensure repeatability.
Perform data validation and SQL queries as needed.
Test system integrations, APIs, and workflows.
Support deployment and production validation.
