Location: Hybrid, Raleigh NC- 3 days onsite - Relocation assistance provided - Candidate can start fully remote as they relocate!
Salary: $180,000-$210,000 - 15% Annual Bonus, $10,000 Annual Equity Plan

Title: Sr. Manager, Software Systems
Insight Global is seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead the development of cutting-edge software solutions for a client's Novum IQ Infusion Platform. As the Senior Manager of Systems Software Engineering, you will lead a team of 10 systems and software engineers in Raleigh, NC, and be responsible for delivering software R&D outputs that revolutionize the medical devices and therapies sector.
This position is based at the client's Raleigh, NC location, with relocation benefits available.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of system engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of software for the infusion pump platform.
- Oversee multiple ongoing projects within the infusion systems domain.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the development and optimization of embedded and digital products within our infusion pump platform meet stringent regulatory and safety standards for medical devices.
- Lead the development of software requirements and risk management for software projects.
- Align organizational goals by deriving software requirements from clinical and user needs.
- Plan software release projects and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish project goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Champion an Agile development culture within the team, advocating for Agile methodologies and promoting their adoption and integration across the software engineering team.
- Represent the systems software engineering team in meetings, presentations, and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Effectively coach, mentor, and motivate team members for outstanding performance, taking ownership of the team's deliverables and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
- Drive functional excellence initiatives within the team, promoting agility and process simplification.
- Champion continuous improvement activities by initiating process and product quality improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of new tools and methodologies, and promoting best practices to enhance software quality and development efficiency.
- Travel to India 2-3 times a year
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 4 + years in management, combined with a senior level of experience in software engineering
- Full knowledge of IEC 62304
- Experienced in developing and bringing software solutions from ideation to market.
- Proven experience in managing technical teams focused on developing medical device software.
- Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering for product development.
- Proficient in developing software requirements and managing risks for software projects.
- Skilled in using development tools for requirements management and issue tracking, such as Jira and Doors.
- Broad understanding of theories and practices across various disciplines, with a solid technical grasp of software engineering principles and procedures (e.g., SDLC, IEC Agile).
- Adept at analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thinking and the use of project management tools.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
