Job summary

PMAT seeks a seasoned Software Systems Integration SME to lead high‑level software development, integration, and deployment across complex operational environments. You will work with senior leaders, engineers, and stakeholders to define objectives, backlogs, and delivery plans that ensure secure, scalable capabilities.

You will apply DevSecOps and AGILE practices, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical decisions through architecture reviews, implementation work, and rigorous validation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software engineering, software systems integration, and related disciplines supporting complex environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, requirements-driven design, interfaces, and SDLC.
• Experience designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, and sustaining resilient software systems.
• Experience developing solutions using modular architectures, APIs, services, or microservices-based approaches.
• Experience supporting DevSecOps and Agile software development, including backlog management and rapid delivery.
• Experience prototyping capabilities and transitioning them to production.
• Ability to analyze workflows, data flows, interfaces, and integration challenges to inform engineering choices.
• Demonstrated senior technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software development and integration lifecycle for resilient software and web applications.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and engineering teams to define objectives and backlogs.
• Develop and implement software solutions using DevSecOps, SOA, and microservices.
• Develop proof-of-concept prototypes and transition successful solutions to production.
• Ensure interoperability across networks, data services, and supporting systems.
• Apply test-driven and behavior-driven development to improve quality and maintainability.
• Provide guidance to teams and document architecture, interfaces, and specifications.
• Communicate complex topics clearly to engineering, program leadership, and customers.
