Job summary

Nationwide IT Services is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support the DLA modernization program. You will design, develop, modernize, integrate, and sustain enterprise applications using .NET, C#, React, REST APIs, and DevSecOps practices.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable software for DoD missions, participate in Agile sprints, and ensure adherence to DoD cybersecurity standards and DoD 8140 baselines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of software engineering experience.
• Secret clearance required; DoD 8140 baseline certification.
• One of the following Azure certifications: AZ-204, AZ-305, or AZ-400; CompTIA Security+.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modernize, integrate, and sustain enterprise applications for DoD missions.
• Provide SDLC support including requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Develop and maintain applications using .NET Framework, C#, React, ADO.NET, and dependency injection.
• Support modernization of legacy apps to modern .NET architectures and cloud environments.
• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain REST APIs for secure data exchange.
• Develop front-end and back-end components to improve functionality, performance, and usability.
• Use Git for version control and participate in Agile software development activities.
• Support DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, security assessments, and deployments.
• Conduct unit and integration testing, debugging, and quality assurance; ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Collaborate with developers, admins, cybersecurity pros, and stakeholders to resolve issues and support modernization objectives.
• Assist with UAT, troubleshoot defects, and implement corrective actions before production deployment.
• Ensure solutions align with technical requirements and program objectives.
