Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners is seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer to own complex production issues across its SaaS platforms. This hands-on role involves debugging code, databases, and cloud infrastructure to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes.

You'll work with Ruby on Rails, React/TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, contributing to automation and AI-assisted improvements while collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or production support within a SaaS environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across application code, databases, and infrastructure.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL; familiarity with AngularJS.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, logging, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and authentication/SSO technologies.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical thinking, technical ownership, and collaboration across teams.
• Excellent communication skills; able to work with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own complex technical challenges: Lead Tier 3 production support, investigate and resolve escalated issues.
• Get hands-on with code: Troubleshoot and fix issues in Ruby on Rails, React/TypeScript, SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Root-cause analysis across applications, databases, integrations, and infra to prevent recurrences.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Support to improve stability.
• Drive automation and AI-assisted improvements to troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Contribute to product modernization and migration to modern frameworks.
• Become a technical expert on the company's SaaS applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve technical documentation and practices.
