Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Senior Software Security Lead to own the security posture of the IT and Enterprise Operations portfolio. You will lead threat modeling, secure design reviews, and risk-based prioritization across teams, including AI-enabled features.

You will translate findings into remediation guidance for CI/CD pipelines and work with product and engineering leadership to strengthen security across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field plus 7+ years in software/application security roles.
• Proven experience leading threat modeling and secure design reviews for complex software systems, including AI-enabled features.
• Demonstrated ability to translate SAST/DAST/SCA results into risk-based remediation guidance for cloud-native apps and CI/CD pipelines (containers, Kubernetes).
• Validated ability to influence engineering and product leadership and drive security outcomes across teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own the portfolio's security posture with a data-backed view of risk and prioritization across IT and Enterprise Operations.
• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for complex software systems, including AI-enabled features.
• Translate security findings into actionable remediation guidance within CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes environments.
• Influence engineering and product leadership to improve security outcomes without direct authority across teams.
• Define and lead security metrics covering risk reduction, MTTR, security debt, and developer adoption.
