Job summary

Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies is seeking a Software Quality Test Engineer 3 in Lakewood, CO. This hybrid role focuses on designing and executing testing across new product development and sustaining software, with a strong emphasis on defect prevention and lifecycle traceability.

You will collaborate with software development, systems engineering, DevOps, SDETs, and global teams to ensure quality throughout the software lifecycle, including automation initiatives and risk-based testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of software quality engineering experience.
• Experience in regulated industries (medical device preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans for features and releases based on requirements and risk.
• Create comprehensive, traceable test cases with preconditions and steps.
• Identify opportunities for test automation with SDETs and implement automation.
• Execute manual tests and evaluate automated results for quality and compliance.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and defects.
• Support shift-left quality practices across development and DevOps teams.
• Contribute to release readiness and verification documentation.
