GDIT is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Applications Tester in Herndon, VA. The role focuses on validating software quality, coordinating testing efforts with developers, and producing clear test plans, scripts, and reports.

You will work within an Agile team to ensure system readiness and reliability. Minimum 5+ years of related experience, BA/BS in CS or IT, and TS/SCI + Polygraph clearance are required.

Formación

• Experience with software testing tools and processes.
• Ability to develop repeatable test procedures, execute test scripts and document results.
• Must be comfortable working with software developers to identify and resolve defects.
• Ability to conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
• Documented experience working with GitHub, JIRA and Confluence.
• Documented experience meeting with stakeholders, analyzing requirements, user stories and related artifacts, and translating these into test plans and well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Ability to install, maintain, and use software-testing programs.
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to development team on software usability and functionality.
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.
• Development and presentation of technical documentation, test cases, test reports, test data sets and other briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed.
• Participating in the team's Agile software development process and adhering to all reporting requirements.
• Working with other enterprise service programs and other test teams to coordinate integration testing of their capabilities that will be consumed in the final system implementation.
• Working with other performance and security test teams as appropriate.
