Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, strategic acquisitions, or related environment.
• Demonstrated success sourcing, qualifying, and advancing acquisition opportunities.
• Experience engaging credibly with founders, owners, and senior executives through research-driven origination.
• Experience with vertical-market software or ability to understand specialized software businesses and markets.
• A clear point of view on applying AI responsibly to research, sourcing, prioritization, and workflow improvement.
• Intellectual curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, clear communication, and persistent pursuit of opportunities.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Build the Investment Pipeline by proactively identifying vertical-market software businesses and assessing strategic fit and investment potential.
• Develop trusted relationships with founders, owners, and senior executives to position Harris as the long-term home for their companies.
• Advance investments by moving opportunities through evaluation, offers, and closing with the M&A team and leadership.
• Raise team capability by collaborating on research, outreach, calls, meetings, and evaluation, sharing feedback and best practices.
• Improve workflows by leveraging AI-enabled tools for market mapping, target research, prospecting, prioritization, and CRM discipline.
