Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to deliver secure, high‑performance software deployments across mission-critical government projects. You will lead Tier 3 escalation, collaborate with Ops & Maintenance, and drive automation and robust documentation to ensure reliability.

The role requires an active TS/SCI w/ polygraph, 8+ years of related experience, deep Linux expertise, and strong containerization and IaC skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree.
• Security clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph.
• Experience: 8+ years of related experience.
• Tasks: Linux CLI and Linux tools proficiency; IaC with Ansible; Python development; containerization with Docker/containerd/Podman; deploying with Helm in Kubernetes; DevOps/GitOps practices; Git workflows; technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate and manage complex configuration changes and software updates across production systems with a focus on security and performance.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation lead, collaborating with Operations & Maintenance to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Develop automated remediation strategies to improve stability and prevent recurrence.
