Description

We are seeking a candidate who has strong opinions about what makes for unique and compelling ideas and can guide a team in transforming those ideas into reality. The ideal candidate will operate at the intersection of technology and experience, understanding which technologies are worth developing to offer powerful new experiences to users. They will also push for innovative experiences that advance technology. This role involves collaboration across organizational levels, from small teams to the entire company. The products developed are prototypes, proofs of concept, and sales pitches, requiring clear communication, a solid understanding of current platform capabilities, cutting-edge ML technology, good design sense, and strong advocacy skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience in prototyping, 0-1 thinking, and moving ideas from conception through prototyping to decision-making.
• Experience managing and scaling teams of 20+ engineers, designers, and scientists.
• Knowledge of Apple platforms, including design paradigms and technologies.
• Understanding of ML fundamentals and experience with modern GenAI models.
• Effective communication skills across diverse skill sets, including designers, engineers, and executives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 5 years of leadership or management experience, including team growth with diverse skill sets.
• Deep experience with Apple platform technologies, cutting-edge language or vision ML technologies, or a background in design.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• A diverse skill set and leadership in creating innovative products, with a background in software engineering fundamentals or application design being advantageous.

At Apple, compensation includes base pay within a range, opportunities for stock participation, benefits such as medical coverage, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursement, and potential bonuses or relocation assistance. The base pay range for this role is $219,300 to $378,700, depending on skills and experience. Eligibility for additional benefits is subject to plan terms.
