Job summary

Walmart seeks a Senior Manager of Software Engineering in Bentonville, AR. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams to build scalable, secure cloud-native applications, driving architecture decisions, testing strategies, and CI/CD practices while mentoring senior engineers.

Duties include ensuring quality, security (PCI compliance), and performance, guiding tool selection, and coordinating cross-functional efforts with Product, UX, data, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/IT/Engineering or related field with 6+ years of software engineering experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years.
• Experience leading agile software development teams and mentoring staff.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and performance optimization.
• Proficient in Java and J2EE technologies, including JSP/JSTL and XML-based integrations.
