Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Software Engineering Senior Advisor in Morris Plains, NJ to provide counsel on complex software engineering matters. You will collaborate across product owners, engineering teams, and vendors to deliver solutions and promote best practices.

You will be involved in all project phases—from inception to post-implementation—while contributing to hybrid work arrangements and ongoing strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field and 5 years of experience.
• Must have experience with Java, Spring, AWS, OpenShift, Linux, Windows, Oracle, MongoDB, Kafka, Unica, Splunk, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, Cursor, Microsoft Copilot, Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel and advice on significant software engineering matters.
• Work on highly complex processes and projects with thought leadership and technical expertise.
• Deliver solutions on the communication platform and collaborate with product owners, other teams, vendors, and partners.
• Drive and promote software engineering best practices and ensure timely delivery of products and projects.
• Ensure teams understand and deliver solutions meeting guidelines and resolve issues.
• Be involved in all phases of projects from inception to post-implementation support; advise business partners regarding solutions.
