Radiance Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance NAVOCEANO capabilities through software design, development, and maintenance. You will support web apps, UIs, geo-processing tools, REST interfaces, and containers on NAVOCEANO facilities at NAVOCEANO-STENNIS

The Software Engineer will advance the capabilities of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) by providing software design, development, and maintenance. The position includes full lifecycle software support for web applications, user interfaces, geo-processing tools, REST interfaces, database manipulation applications/interfaces, and containers. NAVOCEANO is located at NASA's Stennis Space Center, and the work would be performed in NAVOCEANO facilities.

Required Technical Qualifications

* Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript

• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and their practical implementation
• Experience with Docker/Podman to include building and maintaining containers
• Experience with Kubernetes as an orchestration environment
• Experience within a Linux environment

Other Desired Qualifications

* Self-motivated yet able to work well within a development team

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with requirements derivation and conflict resolution
• Experience working with a mixed team of Government Civilians and Government Contractors

Strong additional consideration for experience with:

* CI/CD workflow development

• Department of War Container Standards
• Integration of AI Technologies such as (MCP Servers, LLMs, and RAG Pipelines)
• GIS technologies such as QGIS or ESRI
• Department of War Security Technical Implementation Guide and documentation knowledge
