Job summary

Snapsheet is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Virtual Appraisals team. You will help modernize Rails-based infrastructure, design scalable systems, and collaborate with product and design to ship reliable features. The role emphasizes performance, debt reduction, and cloud-native practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable professional experience in a STEM field.
• 5+ years of full-stack web development experience.
• Experience with relational databases, schema design, and performant SQL queries.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and Ruby on Rails.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure upgrades and modernization, including Rails migrations.
• Identify and resolve technical debt for stability and performance.
• Contribute to technical design processes and provide feedback.
• Work in an agile environment with stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with engineers, product management, and design to solve complex problems.
