Job summary

Cubic Digital Intelligence is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Unified Video (UV) engineering team in Ashburn, VA. You will sustain and modernize the FMV platform, including FMP and NetOps, while ensuring security, reliability, and scalability for mission-critical defense applications.

Responsibilities include containerization, automation with GitLab CI/CD, and collaboration with DevSecOps, QA, and Product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing software using Node.js and/or Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Linux environments, Git, and modern source control workflows.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software supporting the Unified Video (UV) platform and related applications.
• Develop and maintain backend services and automation using Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and Linux-based technologies.
• Support migration of existing applications from Docker-based deployments to Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling.
• Implement security updates, remediate vulnerabilities, and maintain compliance with customer security requirements and STIG guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the software lifecycle.
