Job summary

NE Solutions in Hanover, MD seeks a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including analytics, real-time processing, and large data handling. You will work individually or in teams, review and test components, and implement system design trade-offs with consideration for hardware/software integration.

Responsibilities include designing, coding, debugging, and integrating software, developing data queries, and contributing to documentation and standards.

Qualifications

• Top Secret with SCI and POLY clearance required.
• 7+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
• 4 additional years of software engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree (11 years total).

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Debug existing software and fix defects.
• Integrate software into new or modified systems or environments.
• Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Recommend improvements to documentation and software development standards.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance standards.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Analyze system performance and work processes to develop software solutions.
• Serve as team lead at the project’s level.
• Modify existing software to adapt to new hardware or improve performance.
• Design, develop and modify software systems using analytical models.
