Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer in Bethesda, MD to design, deploy, and maintain a full-stack, containerized microservices architecture in a mission-focused environment. You will work on a production big data pipeline using Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka, while improving CI/CD processes.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, a strong Linux background, and hands-on experience with containers, Kubernetes, and GitLab.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of six years of experience (three years may substitute).
• Strong Linux proficiency and hands-on containers/Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline using a microservice architecture on Kubernetes.
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes.
• Design and support scalable infrastructure including physical and virtual environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams.
• Participate in Agile release planning and design sessions.
