Job summary

Akina Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD, to design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance diverse software systems. You will implement access controls for securing HPC resources, align with security policies, and lead software teams on critical projects.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, documenting and maintaining complex software systems.
• Experience implementing access controls for HPC systems and ensuring security policy compliance.
• Proven ability to lead software development teams and coordinate with system engineers and hardware engineers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Serve as team lead on projects using the chosen SDLC.
• Develop and modify software systems using mathematical models to predict outcomes.
• Design, develop, and modify software for performance and timing constraints.
• Oversee software development teams to ensure project constraints are met.
• Coordinate software installation and monitor performance to meet specs.
