Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III to lead and deliver trusted BI solutions. As a Senior Tableau BI Developer, you will mentor developers, manage backlogs, and build high-visibility dashboards across data warehouses and diverse data sources.

You will apply enterprise AI coding assist tools to enhance quality and speed while upholding secure coding standards. You will work within an agile environment to design, implement, and optimize Tableau dashboards, integrating APIs and ETL

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong knowledge of agile methods including CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting APIs, including REST APIs.
• Proficient in Python for automation, data processing, or BI development.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and data sensitivity in engineering workflows.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development in team workflows.
• Ability to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable dashboards.
• Experience validating data accuracy, dashboard functionality, and performance.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx.

Responsibilities

• Significant experience developing production BI solutions with expert Tableau skills.
• Design, build, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Tableau dashboards with performance tuning.
• Hands-on Tableau dashboard embedding and workbooks (.twbx and .twb).
• Connect Tableau to data warehouses and multiple database platforms.
• Apply data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and live/extract connections.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review.
• Use SDLC tools and automation to improve value realized by automation.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Gather and analyze data to visualize performance and drive improvements.
• Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system design.
