Job Summary

Our LOE program provides our customer's Operations organization with the best possible solutions for their mission needs. We achieve this through rapid prototyping, new development, and advanced technology research. From leading‑edge visualizations to analytic development, we’re always pushing the boundaries to find new and better data sources and tradecraft to answer intelligence questions. With a focus on collaboration and a fast‑paced environment, our prototype development program is the ideal place to grow your skills and make a real impact. We are seeking an experienced senior developer to create custom analytics to perform at scale. The software engineer will work closely with data scientists and end users to develop innovative analytic tools to further discovery and tradecraft around critical global challenges, then deliver innovative solutions focused on operationalizing data science.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Mission Focus: Work directly with data scientists as well as mission analysts to solve the most demanding strategic problems; perform end‑to‑end software engineering to prototype, develop, integrate, test, and deploy tools and tradecraft into the customer's corporate architecture.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Java MapReduce, Python PySpark. Strong experience with statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentals, strong experience with customer tools, architecture, data flow, and use of big data. Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab; experience with Agile methodologies.
• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus eleven (11) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Security Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.
• Desirable Skills: Experience with software development processes (i.e., requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance) and programming. Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and using Large Language Models (LLM's).

Pay Range

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
