Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer (VP level) in New York to join the Structured Credit & Financing Technology team. You will design, implement and operate critical trading and risk platforms, partnering with traders, strats and global technology teams.

You’ll contribute to stability, performance, and automation across trade booking, risk/PnL, margin and settlement while delivering strategic platform enhancements and scalable solutions for front-office workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a technical field and strong fundamentals in software engineering.
• Hands-on software development in one or more modern languages such as Java, Scala, C++, C#, Python.
• Experience with large-scale server-side applications and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraday coverage for Structured Credit & Financing trading tools, focusing on Credit Repo and Exotics Genesis workflows.
• Triage, investigate, and resolve production issues across trading, booking, pricing/risk, margin, workflow and reporting tools.
• Own follow-through from incident analysis to permanent remediation, including code changes and monitoring improvements.
• Design, develop and maintain software across the Structured Credit & Financing technology stack.
• Work with traders, strats, operations, and risk teams to deliver robust technology solutions.
