Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a junior developer in the Structured Rates team to design, build and evolve scalable trading technology platforms for global markets. You will work in the Technology division across the full software lifecycle, mentored in technical design and DevOps modernization, supporting the trading lifecycle, risk, market data, and settlements.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with architectural responsibility for complex applications.
Strong knowledge of functional programming concepts, design patterns, n-tier architecture, and service-oriented design.
Experience with Python, Shell scripting, or Scala; Linux experience is desirable.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work in global teams.

Responsibilities

Communicate with product leads across technology to discuss improvements.
Participate in full software development lifecycle from analysis to production support.
Lead design discussions and shape scalable architectures aligned with platform strategy.
Mentor developers and drive engineering best practices in Agile squads.
