Job summary

Higharc is a remote-first startup reimagining how homes are designed and built. We’re seeking a hands-on Sr. Software Engineer to bring framing and structural analysis into the products used by homebuilders.

You’ll join early and help shape the technical direction, with room to grow into a tech lead. You’ll mostly write code but influence architecture, using TypeScript and AI-assisted workflows to move fast while maintaining correctness. Interested in homebuilding?

Qualifications

3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in TypeScript.
Structural or mechanical engineering experience.
Familiarity with computational geometry and mathematical modeling.
Proficiency with modern development tools and AI-assisted workflows.
Ability to communicate tradeoffs and delivery timelines clearly.

Responsibilities

Design and implement algorithms for framing and structural analysis from prototypes to MVP.
Use AI-assisted workflows while ensuring correctness and maintainability.
Partner with product, customer success, and engineers to define behavior and surface gaps.
Translate structural knowledge into robust software.
Write tests that cover edge cases and ensure reliability.
Help shape the team’s technical direction and mentor peers.
Navigate ambiguity as scope evolves on an emerging team.
