Job summary

Higharc is a remote-first startup redefining how homes are designed and built. We seek a hands-on Sr. Software Engineer to bring framing and structural analysis to builders' workflows, early in a new team shaping product direction.

You will own MVP-level features, enable AI-assisted workflows, and partner with product, success, and engineers to ensure robust, correct software. Experience in TS/React and structural/mechanical engineering is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in TypeScript.
• Structural or mechanical engineering experience, academic or professional.
• Familiarity with computational geometry and mathematical modeling.
• Proficiency with modern development tools and AI-assisted workflows.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity on a new and emerging team.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs and deadlines clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms and systems behind framing and structural analysis.
• Develop workflows that use AI-assisted processes while ensuring correctness.
• Collaborate with product, customer success, and engineers to define behavior and surface gaps.
• Translate structural engineering concepts into robust software.
• Write tests and contribute to technical direction of the team.
• Mentor teammates as the team grows and evolves.
