Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an experienced software engineer for the Storage Execution team in New York City to design, optimize storage and transactional access within the server. You will contribute to a large, C++-based codebase and collaborate with product management and adjacent teams to deliver new features that improve performance and resilience for highly concurrent distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Experience building industrial-strength software with large user bases and high code quality.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with strong proficiency in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and software design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Storage Execution engineers to coordinate changes in a large C++-based codebase.
• Specify and deliver new features with product management and neighboring teams.
• Identify, design, implement, test, and support new features within Server Execution scope.
• Keep abreast of database technologies and research to inform server improvements.
• Promote MongoDB values through mentorship, collaboration, and accountability.
