Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer with STK experience to support mission analysis and modeling applications across air, space, ground and maritime domains, using physics-based modeling to assess performance and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities include developing and integrating STK-based tools, implementing Python backends (Flask) and React frontends, and maintaining documentation for traceability.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent in a technical field such as Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years of aerospace/defense software development experience.
• Experience customizing STK-based tools (STK Engine/Components/Cesium).
• Experience integrating tools via REST APIs or similar.
• Proficiency in Python and Flask required; React experience highly desirable.
• Strong Git and version-control skills; Full Stack development experience preferred.
• Self-management with ability to handle multiple tasks to deadlines.
• Active Top Secret clearance; SCI eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain STK-based applications for mission planning, analysis, and visualization.
• Integrate STK with external tools, models, and data sources for end-to-end workflows.
• Implement backend services in Python and support frontend interfaces as needed.
• Analyze and interpret simulation results to provide actionable insights to teams.
• Ensure traceability between mission outputs and system models across the digital environment.
• Support deployment in containerized or cloud environments and contribute to documentation.
