Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Snowpark Container Service to help build an elastic, high-scale compute platform. You will lead engineers, design features, and drive reliability for our cloud-native container compute surface. In this role, you’ll influence architecture and scale across the Snowpark ecosystem.

Join a fast-moving team to deliver impactful products and collaborate across Snowflake Compute Platform areas, with a focus on performance and multi-tenant reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building large-scale systems or infrastructure platforms.
• Strong CS fundamentals and distributed systems experience.
• Hands-on coding in Java, C++, or Go; ability to mentor.
• Ability to work on-site in Bellevue and lead teams.

Senior Software Engineer, Snowpark Container Service

We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer for our Snowpark Container Service, part of our Snowflake Compute Platform – to build an elastic, high‑scale, high‑performance, cloud‑native compute platform that lets customers bring compute to data effortlessly and simply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop features, understand customer requirements, and meet business goals.
• Lead a team of engineers, including mentoring and guiding them, and set technical direction and strategy for large and critical parts of the product surface area.
• Manage all project aspects including design, coding, reviews, testing, observability, tooling, and on‑call support.
• Build highly reliable and fault‑tolerant software to meet the needs of the largest customers.
• Ensure operational readiness and maintainability of the service with a heavy focus on reliability, availability, debuggability, and performance.
• Design and build Kubernetes‑based OCI‑compliant container compute platform features and capabilities that scale and evolve with changing business and customer needs.
• Contribute to Snowpark Container Services during its early stage of development, providing outsized impact on Snowflake’s growth story.

• Experience building products or services with Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and implementing products and features with multi‑cloud support (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience implementing multi‑tenant systems with a focus on performance, isolation, and security.

Compensation

• Estimated base salary range: $200,000 – $287,500.
• Eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
