Job summary

Waymo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a Sensor Simulation Platform in the United States. The role involves building and maintaining simulation systems to evaluate onboard models using multi-modal data such as camera, LiDAR, and radar, with collaboration across internal teams to enable millions of simulated miles annually.

Candidates should have experience with 3D game engines and data simulation techniques, asset pipelines for storage/processing, and preferably ML pipelines for scaling

Qualifications

• Experience with 3D game engines and data simulation techniques such as physics simulation, animation capture, light transport, photogrammetry, NeRFs, or Gaussian splats.
• Proficiency in managing efficient asset pipelines for data storage and processing.
• Experience with machine learning pipelines and scaling complex data processing systems is preferred.
